Upland Field Bag

Built for upland hunters and bird-dog trainers.

The Sage & Braker Field Bag was designed for time spent in the upland field with your bird dog. Whether you're chasing wild quail through the desert, working a chukar in steep country, or spending an afternoon training a young bird dog, this bag gives you a simple, accessible way to carry the things you need.

At 10" wide × 8" tall × 3.5" deep, the Medium Field Bag is large enough to carry the essentials for a full day in the field while remaining compact and unobtrusive as you move through the cover.

The main compartment holds a full day's worth of shotgun shells and is secured beneath a leather lid with snap closures. An exterior waxed canvas pouch provides quick access to smaller essentials and serves as a convenient place to drop spent shells as you work your way through the field—keeping your live ammunition and empty hulls separated.

Designed for the Bird Dog Hunter

A leather strap along the side of the bag provides a dedicated place to carry your dog collar transmitter, keeping it secure and accessible while you hunt or train.

The bag also includes a detachable retention leash with a trigger snap that attaches to the side strap and your transmitter, providing a simple backup should the transmitter come loose. The leash can be removed when it's not needed.

Built for Hunting or Training

The Medium Field Bag is just as useful during a bird-dog training session as it is on a hunt. Keep your training essentials, leash, transmitter, ammunition, gloves and other field necessities close at hand without having to carry a full hunting vest or pack.

The bag attaches to your belt with snap closures, allowing you to put it on or remove it without threading your belt through it. It's also a practical setup when you're moving between hunting locations and want to keep your essential gear with you without putting on and taking off a fully loaded upland vest.

A Second Bag Has Another Purpose

The Medium Field Bag can also serve as a compact game bag.

Carry a second bag on the opposite side of your belt and use it to carry downed quail, chukar, or Hungarian partridge as the hunt progresses. Its compact size makes it well suited for smaller upland birds, but it is not intended for pheasants or larger game birds.

We're developing a larger game bag for pheasants and other larger upland birds, which will become another part of the Sage & Braker Upland Field System.

Built for the Field

The Field Bag combines durable canvas with oil-tanned pull-up leather.

The leather is tough and designed to develop character over time. Scratches, scuffs, and changes in color aren't something to worry about—they're part of the process. With every hunt and training session, the leather will develop a unique patina that reflects the time you've spent in the field.

This is gear meant to be used, not babied.

The Medium Field Bag is the beginning of a larger system we're developing for the upland hunter and bird-dog trainer.

Coming soon, we'll be adding a dedicated leather dog collar transmitter holster and leather water bottle holder, designed to attach to your belt and work alongside the Field Bag. We're also developing a larger game bag for pheasants and other larger upland birds.

The goal is simple: build a modular system that lets you carry what you need for a day of hunting or training—shells, water, dog transmitter, field essentials, and birds—without having to rely on a bulky vest or pack.
